FAQs

How do you handle privacy?

Capsles is privacy-first. Data and processing stay on your iPhone, not on our servers—we can’t see your journal. Entries are encrypted on device, and you control export or deletion at any time. You can optionally store entries in iCloud, like you would with your photos, if storage is tight.

Is Capsles conversational? Can I speak and have a conversation with my Capsle?

Yes, absolutely.

Does Capsles include other people in your journal entries?

Capsles is designed to journal your experience through Voice ID. It doesn’t capture faces and blocks additional speakers. You can set no-journal zones (e.g., friends’ homes, cinemas), and allow auto-disabling in certain contexts.

What is Voice ID?

Similar to how Face ID stores a fingerprint of your face on device, Voice ID is an on-device fingerprint of your voice. It's worth noting that voice fingerprinting and voice cloning are not the same thing. It will not clone anyone’s voice. It is recognised locally so it can prioritise your speech, remove noise, and suppress external voices that aren’t part of your experience. On-device embeddings adapt to your voice over time.

Pricing

Capsles is free to use; you can start journaling without paying a penny. For extended storage—keeping more journal entries over time—plans start from £3/month. Users can also pay £99 and get lifetime unlimited access to all the extended features and functionality of Capsles.

Battery and on-device activities?

No, Capsles is designed to be battery-light and won't drain your device battery during normal use.

It does not capture anything digitally. It does not know what is happening on the phone, including phone calls, on-device notes, and anything that happens on your phone. It only has user-guided context about the physical real-world environment.

When will Capsles be available?

Capsles is currently in beta and being slowly rolled out, with heavy resources going into development to optimize user experience. For privacy prioritization, we're only rolling it out to test features and functionality. It's an invite-only waitlist for now.
